We were sorry to hear Christopher Owens quit GIRLS back in July. On the other hand, he released his solo album Lysandre and shone light on fellow San Franciscans MELTED TOYS, who he’s presently touring the US with.
The demo track Always, included in a cassette they’re producing for the tour through Gnar Tapes, is a well crafted new-wave dream-pop song: think of Johnny Marr’s guitar with a lot of synths.

Sydney based foursome ROYAL HEADACHE have unveiled this homemade tour video for new single Girls.

GIRLS paid tribute to WHITNEY HOUSTON following her tragic death over the weekend with a rendition of her classic hit I Will Always Love You.
It seemed to catch a few members in the audience by surprise but it soon turns into an emotional group singalong. Watch above.
