King weirdo ARIEL PINK and his HAUNTED GRAFFITI have released the video for their latest single Only In My Dreams – the second from new album Mature Themes. Shot in an endearingly fuzzy VHS/camcorder style, the promo sees the charismatic frontman using his – admittedly fantasised – James Dean-esque sexual magnetism to bounce back from a harsh jilting, collecting a harem of women along the way. BLOOD DIAMONDS, aka Michael Diamond, has released the b-side to his forthcoming GRIMES collaboration out on 4AD. Ritual is grand futuristic trance pop and will back previous cut Phone Sex.

While not everyone’s a fan of solo projects,Deerhunter side-project and one of our unofficial SXSW picks Atlas Sound seems to be bucking the trend. After impressing with his last solo effort Logos, Cox is back with a new album entitled Parallax and the guys at Fluxblog have got a new track off of it (called Amplifiers) available to stream, click HERE to stream it.
The latest Kurt Vile video, directed by Todd Purple, is single-handedly making the entire world’s single population feel EVEN more lonely. It’s also noteworthy that all this lovey-dovey footage was captured on Microsoft phones. Technology man, it’s the future.
Kurt vile’s currently touring the US with Woods (and later Thurston Moore), but he returns to the UK this September for a handful of live dates, ending with a headline show at London’s Scala on September 8th.
