Brilliantly named garage-rockers MAGIC JAKE AND THE POWER CRYSTALS have administered a frenetic, blood-pumping shot in the arm to all who’ll listen in the form of Brains Of Rats, the highlight of their eponymous debut album. It’s just under two minutes of breakneck, grungey bluster, combined with Undertones-like simplicity, that will grab you by the collar and throw you through the nearest window.
