Sweet Valley is the new project from Nathan Williams of Wavves and his brother Joel. On August 7th, together they will release a mixtape entitled Stay Calm on Fool’s Gold. Below is a track called Total Carnage that will feature on the EP.
With a title like Total Carnage one would envision a raucous punk song which preformed live would evoke moshing, head-banging and general chaos. This offering from SWEET VALLEY is actually far from it. It’s a lo-fi electronic beach jam with not a lot happening; yes, there’s a nice cheery faux trumpet riff and some mysterious droning voice but that’s about it.
